Some $18 million in tickets have already been pre-sold for Disney’s 3-D Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie, which opens tonight at midnight. Sources tell EW.com that the movie is on track to become the highest-grossing film to bow on Super Bowl weekend — obviously, not a traditionally strong weekend at the box office. (When a Stranger Calls, which earned $21.6 mil on Super Sunday two years ago, is the current leader.) But leave it to the folks at Disney to realize that there are plenty of young girls who won’t be at home eating chili and watching football all day Sunday. Insiders predict the movie’s bow in 683 theaters will gross in the mid-$20 million range — which is enormous. What’s interesting is that the film’s tracking numbers are in the toilet, but that’s because tracking services still use in-home calling to reach moviegoers, and most moviegoers under the age of 25 don’t use land lines, they use cell phones.

I think this is a bunch of CRAP. I have a 10 year old daughter who would love to see this movie. Why is it only being shown in 683 Theaters???? That is Cruel to every little girl who makes this kid successfull!

Why is it not in every theater like any other movie? My 11 year old could not see her in concert and now she won’t be able to see the movie either. That really stinks! A lot of young girls will be upset and crying this weekend.
I think it is stupid that they are only going to show it for a week with how many people are wanting to see it and how fast tickets sold out. It is a movie after all and yet, the tickets sold out on the first day they were selling them. Has that ever happened before? I don’t think even Harry Potter or Pirates has ever done that! You would think that they would show it in every movie theater capable at the very least for the money, not even the fact that a lot of people are going to want to see it. My only hope is that they put it out on DVD because if they don’t, there is going to be a lot of disappointed people, me included, and i’m not even a little kid!

Since the movie’s only 1 hr.14 mins. long, don’t expect to see the full actual concert from the live tour. Miley’s set alone was 1 hr. 25 mins. so since the movie has the Jonas Bros in it too, there’ no way that could all fit in the movie. This is wrong. I live in Cape May County New Jersey and I have a 5 year old who is so upset because the Hanna Mont. movie is not showing anywhere within aleast 2 hours of our home. That is just not right! It is only showing for 7 days and she will not be able to see it.
The reason it’s not playing in every theatre like a REAL movie is that it is being shown in 3D via digital projection, and not every theatre is equipped with digital projectors.
this is all my kids have talked about I let her join Miley World just to get advance tickets and we could not get them and now they cannot see the movie either and they are going to be very disappointed, I hope you are satisfied.

idiots its in 683 theaters cause it has be played in digital theaters cause its in 3d if ur theater doesnt have a digital theater screen call and complain… and tell them get digital projectors…
Hey just deal with it people I mean sometimes in life there are things that you just cant have and your children need to learn that.
I took my 5 yr. old to the show last night and I have to say I was very impressed. Miley sang her heart out and had so much energy. You can tell she loves what she does and loves her fans. The music was great, her outfits were appropriate and I think she is a wonderful role model.

It is not fair to judge Miley on something a random person posts on the internet.
