Nope, Winehouse has been denied entry into the US. LOL! YAY! I hope they cancel this stupid show too and any other award shows. Hollywood needs to get over itself. The sense of entitlement in these people is unreal.

EVERYONE in Hollywood is overpaid. It is hard to feel sorry for these people when you actually look at the budgets for these TV Shows or especially movies. They "expense out" EVERYTHING beyond belief. These writers who are on strike are still getting paid from the reruns they have written before unlike most people on strike. I also find it funny that gameshows & reality shows are so popular when those shows don't really need writers! How would you like to be a talent that was nominated for Grammy album of the year only to have greedy striking writers putting a damper on your proudest moment? People turn off your TV's & spend some time with your family. There really isn't anything worth watching anyway. Thanks to the writers!!!!!!

Has anyone else noticed that there are more award shows now than ever? Less than 10 yrs ago there were only the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and maybe the CMAs. Now we have the Golden Globes, SAG awards, BET awards, the Latin Grammys, the People's Choice Awards, and for awhile we had the Blockbuster Awards.
How many times to we have to worship people just like us, except their jobs make them household names. I don't know of any award shows for people who have made progress in the medical/ scientific field, or have made significant contributions to the world. These are the people that truly deserve to be honored. As a cancer survivor, I have a new perspective and though I like to see the gowns, I can't stomach all the self-aggrandization that comes with these award shows. Oh, in case you want to attack me for my comments, I am 25, blonde, 5'4, 103 lbs and a first year law student. So, no I am not jealous of those in the industry. In fact, I left LA b/c the people are so egocentric.

I am glad the Grammy Awards will go on as planned. The Writer's strike is so lame and only hurts the "little people," such as gaffers, cameramen, foley artists, stage mgrs & PAs. Of course, none of Writers care a thing about anyone but themselves (big surprise, considering its Hollywood). Besides, is it really fair and equitable to pay the writers of shows such as Frank TV and the show based on the GEICO Cavemen the same amount of money as the writers of Seinfeld and The Sopranos. Last I checked, we lived in a meritocracy. I know I don't get paid the same as a neurosurgeon, and I shouldn't b/c I am not on that level. Ah, but I forget, most of those in the Industry are socialists at the least. I find that funny, considering these same people got wealtlhy due to capitalism only. Otherwise, they would be making as much as, say, a janitor. I wonder how they would like that...
