Not everyone is cares to have all the latest technology. iTunes,IPod, whatever. Besides, I don’t care to watch anything that small just because you can. I agree with the others that Blockbuster and Netflix have nothing to worry about.

I LOVE my Blockbuster.com and have no plans to invest in an AppleTV anytime soon. If I’m buying a new TV it will be a large HD screen….all the better to enjoy the movies that arrive quickly to my house from Blockbuster.com!

sorry – but this will take no market share away from netflix. why pay $230 for an apple tv PLUS have to pay $4 for each new rental. I’d much rather pay Netflix a flat monthly fee to be able to rent a seemingly unlimited number of movies + still have the ability to watch some online.

Goodnight for Netflix? I don’t think so, Nicole. They charge $10 for unlimited disc rentals and streaming movies vs. $3-4 from Apple. Unless people love to watch movies on a tiny screen, Netflix isn’t in any danger.

My question is – how is this sort of deal categorized for the writers on strike? Is this like a DVD rental or is this part of the new media/internet type negotiations that the studios don’t want to share profits from? I think it’s an important question.
BTW, I support the writers! Greedy studio scum.
