I was wondering if we can also cancel the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Championships, and NCAA Final Four.
I’m sorry, but some of us REALLY look forward to award season — just like some of us look forward to sporting events. NONE of them matter in the long run, but they matter to their fans when they happen.
No one is saying the Oscars change the world, but dammit I want them!

Maybe ABC will take this as a clue and just cancel the Oscar telecast in time to schedule something worthwhile. Honestly, if the people in the film and TV businesses don’t care enough about this to get their collective acts together, why should anyone else care?

Congratulations to the WGA for their success in ending such nonsense shows!!! The WGA is what will persuade many Americans of how television and film programming needs to change, so that WGA writers are never needed again.
