I was watching the “live” fest, and, as always, could predict most of the time who was going to win. It’s the Hollywood FOREIGN Press, so you’ve gotta think “foreign” – aka. Extras, anyone not originally from America for a winner (yes, David D was a surprise), and then, of course, any person nominated for a mini-series ALWAYS trumps a person in a regular show. It’s a joke.

The whole thing was depressing but the low point was Billy Bush proclaiming that winner Cate Blanchett shouldn’t have won because she was “just imitating a man” and not acting after her name was announced as winner. I hated it.

I started watching it on NBC, but Billy Bush and Nancy O’Dell became so unbelieveably annoying (as they always are), I switched to CNN and watched it on Larry King Live. Which wasn’t much better because Mary Hart is almost as annoying as Billy Bush….But Larry was quite funny actually. After each winner, Larry tried to put his two cents and give his thoughts, but they were so quick he kept getting cut off by the next award. It was very strange.

Geez, if the Oscars do get to go on, that Barbie & Ken pair from Abcess Hollywood would be GREAT as hosts, dontcha think!?! They could be a metaphor for all that is PLASTIC in Hollywood, all that is FAKE and EMPTY. And spray-tanned.

How can they rebuild the economic disaster they cause by this strike? I don’t know what to comment to the entertainment unions and the studios because there’s just no use to all of them not talking to each other like mature adults to these childish demands and complaints and not make an agreement.
