Letterman is the least likeable of the late night hosts. Leno doesn’t pretend to be cutting-edge and would probably admit that he plays it safe, and for some reason, people dog him for that. I myself favor Conan, but Leno is still miles ahead of the dour Letterman.

Im a huge fan of the Kimmel show even if its alota hit or miss humor. Overall Jimmy Kimmel’s one of those people you cant help but like. Besides he’s the only late night host where you can catch up on all the goofs in pop culture and news by showing a steady stream of clips durin his monologue. He’s been the first to expose manya Youtube and TV clips before anyone else.

This may seem like an act of desparation on their parts (Leno & Kimmel) to find show content, but the writers union doesn’t give them much choice. Kudos to the person who thought of this idea.

This kind of stunt hasn’t been done since Jimmy shuttled back and forth across the country to co-host Regis and Kelly for a week a few months ago. It sounds like a little desperation on both sides.
