'Avatar' alien image 'a complete fake'

Breakout the ice-buckets, fanboys. That recently "leaked" image of a blue-black, be-tailed alien babe from James Cameron's highly anticipated Avatar is a "complete fake," says a Fox rep. "It's fan art of some kind. We don't know where it came from, [but] when we come out with something from the movie, it will be with great fanfare." Given that the top-secret project -- currently filming in New Zealand with a purportedly revolutionary 3D camera system -- isn't slated to come out until May 2009, it may be a while before Fox breaks out those trumpets.
