NBC has clearly taken to heart the name of Chuck’s place of employment, Buy More: The network just ordered nine additional episodes of the freshman drama starring Zachary Levi as a most unlikely secret agent man. The Peacock gave the same love to another new hourlong series, Life, meaning that when this strike business is finally resolved, both Chuck and Life will run for a full season. Meanwhile, NBC’s two other first-year dramas — Bionic Woman and Journeyman — can only press their noses against the renewal glass and pray for an early Christmas present.

That’s great, but can you explain why NBC’s so fixated on showing DEADLY CAR CRASHES with no warning as commercials for their shows? I was in a car accident a few months ago and the promos for NBC shows are giving me nightmares! I am never watching Bionic Woman and now I’m never watching any Law and Order again. Good riddance.
don’t know what else you are going to watch then, most television shows have a crash or two.

I too am weary of the out-of-the-blue car crashes, but not because of the violence. It’s just that NBC is TOTALLY over-using the device (Chuck, L&O, Bionic Woman, and some others). It’s like a new “toy” their CGI people discovered/bought, and now they’re really trying to get their money’s worth. They are just WAY over-using it as a plot device/effect.
Life is a pretty OK show, and interesting enough…but I really only watch for the chance to see Sarah Shahi. So very pretty! And listening to her speak some Farsi (a few weeks ago) was so hot!
I think LIFE is a great show.
I love the show Chuck and Life and I am glad to see you are doing something other than all reality show, which I can’t stand.

Loyal Chuck fan here. Good popcorn munching hour. Bigger fan tho of “Journeyman”. I’ve totally foresaken CSI:Miami (same old formula every show now) for Journeyman… the quality of the storytelling, the story, the acting makes it not only one of the best new shows, but one of THEE best shows on. NBC needs to find room for it to succeed on their schedule. Hopefully it will find new fans/friends “in repeat” during the winter strike.

How can they not renew Journeyman? One of the best shows I’ve watched, it just gets better with each episode. The pacing is fantastic; just when you think you’re starting to get a bit sick of some plot complication, they resolve it (such as family not believing him). Such warmth, such depth, great acting, great characters . . . please keep Journeyman around. Bionic Woman, however . . . that one deserves to be dumped hard.
Great going NBC Chuck and Life are the best. Too bad you don’t dump Deal or No Deal.

Oh, poor Journeyman. Like Joe, I knew it would die because I actually like it. My husband and I are the kiss of death for our favorite shows.
TV can be more than stupid unReality shows and infomercials. Give Journeyman a chance. It’s a great show and a great cast.

I love Journeyman too! I used to think it was a good follow-up to Heroes, but now I like it even more than Heroes. Great show and keeps getting better.
