'CSI' Spoiler Alert! What's next for Gil and Sara?

Oct 11, 2007, 03:27 PM | by Lynette Rice

Categories: TV Biz

Csi_l As fans continue to fret about whether Jorja Fox will walk away from her six-figure gig on CSI, an insider tells EW.com that the Oct. 18 episode will feature a very unorthodox marriage proposal by Gil to Fox's character, Sara. So far, very little has been revealed about the duo's clandestine relationship, though fans first got an idea that something was up in the season finale two years ago, and over last season, when Sara was seen sitting up in bed with Gil (William Petersen) in one episode. Next week's proposal will surely spawn speculation that Fox may stay on the show despite published reports stating otherwise. Fox, along with CBS, have yet to officially confirm or deny her departure. Meanwhile, fans have launched a Save Jorja campaign by sending cash, balloon, and Life Savers candy to CSI's production offices. A show spokeswoman declined comment.

I can't believe Sara is leaving. I will still watch CSI, b/c its awesome, but I think her and Gil are great together. They have so much in commmon on the show. They are the strantgest couple on TV yet, but by far the most interesting. I would like to to see a little more cases and less soap drama though!

Prime Time Television: Bringing the Electra Complex to New Heights.

fred Thu, Oct 25, 2007 at 09:26 AM EST

I think they should get rid of Eckly before sara!!

kaitlyn Tue, Oct 23, 2007 at 05:45 PM EST

sara is da'bomb. I love sara's determination and dedication her work. I wanted her to live in the opener, it was soosweet how she woke up when Grissom touched her hand. GSR ROCKS! Long Live the Grissom and Sara Romance!! I even had a dream that they would get married. Wouldn't it be so cute to have little geek-babies running around in the lab. It would be very cool to see softer side of Grissom (and how in love he is with sara!:)PLEASE DON'T LET SARA GO.

Sandy Sat, Oct 20, 2007 at 10:02 PM EST

I LOVE THE PAIRING OF GRISSOM AND SARA!
I HOPE GRISSOM AND SARA DO GET MARRIED!
AND SARA DOES NOT LEAVE THE SHOW!

Ivory Thu, Oct 18, 2007 at 10:21 PM EST

Yeah People.. It happens!!! He proposes and it was awesome! Heavens thanks TPTB!

jenny Thu, Oct 18, 2007 at 04:43 AM EST

This is great, I've been waiting for something to happen. Going to miss Sara like hell in the newer episodes, CSI will never be the same!

Suisan Wed, Oct 17, 2007 at 03:41 AM EST

I've enjoyed watching Grissom, I have - at times - enjoyed watching Sidle. I don't find their romance "creepy" as others have - mostly because I'm part of a May/December marriage of 15 years. However ... Having said that, the GSR thing has got to go. There is no real spark between the two characters, not even the least little bit of UST. Nada. If this marriage happens - and I doubt that it will - it'll be a marriage of opportunity. Not love.

Okay, that's my thoughts ... Warrick's marriage is on the skids, Greggo is too immature (though that is changing), Catherine's relationships die horrible deaths. If everyone due to have horrid relations? I wonder when Nicky might find someone and what her profession might be. Somehow I can so see him getting with a cop ... or will he be Single Guy for the rest of his life? (And how sad that would be...)

patti Tue, Oct 16, 2007 at 06:21 PM EST

I never did see any "chemistry" in the GSR...It always seemed "forced". Now in the episode, "Lady Heather's Box", there was smoldering passion between the 2 of them! They spent the night together (he's wearing the same shirt over tea at breakfast!), so I'm hoping that they can ressurect that passion instead of sticking him with another cold, unfeeling love interest. I always thought the character of Sara was cold, cardboard, whiney, anorexic and narcissistic. JMHO

wendy lee Mon, Oct 15, 2007 at 03:08 PM EST

The only thing that could be better than this would be if Catherine left. I just don't like the actress, haven't liked her since she was in Ryans Hope. She is so "I'm better than you"

Mon, Oct 15, 2007 at 12:02 PM EST

Two words re: Grissom and chemistry: Lady Heather

hawks Mon, Oct 15, 2007 at 08:56 AM EST

It's nice to see the "softer" side of Grissom. It always irked me when his team members would always accuse him of having no feelings. Maybe now they will see him in a different light.
Although it has been implied the attraction of Grissom and Sarah, I do believe that Lady Heather had better chemistry with Grissom and more a stimulating effect with Grissom.

logo87 Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 03:16 PM EST

Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle are so so perfect for eachother....age doesn't matter in true love.....so beautiful....let her say yes....let them have their happy ending.
best couple on television=Sara and Grissom

chippy Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 02:13 PM EST

I love watching CSI and enjoy all the interesting characters on the show, but, with all due respect to Gil Grissom and the very talented William Peterson who plays him...Sara is way too young for him,so the idea of a romance between them does not seem plausible to me.

Marion Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 07:01 AM EST

Well, surprisingly, I don't mind this pair. Love the science of the show, but Grissom and Sara's character has been very interesting to me, together and individually. I sure hope that they don't turn it into opera though, and watching the show for the last seven years, I can trust the writers to not do so. So, far they have handled everything perfectly. Thus, here I am commenting. People have different likes and dislikes. As the majority of the comments here agree, i find Sara Sidle to be very unique character and pretty real life kind for television shows. That was a big score. Love Brass, Grissom, Warrick, Sofia and rest of them as well. If Ms. Fox does decide to leave, which I hope she doesn't, I will watch any show she goes to.

CSI Fanatic Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 02:52 AM EST

I have been watching this show since day one. Since the second episode when the Sidle character appeared I have been waiting for her exit. When she was fired a couple of seasons ago I was ecstatic. How unfortunate that they hired her worthless @ss back. That warm fuzzy feeling came back when I read she would only be appearing half way through the season. I'm so hoping it's true and she will be gone for good. And CBS, while you're at it, put Gregg back in the lab, he's not worthy of field work.

To heck with Grey's - The Office Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 12:24 AM EST

is a great show and the show I'll be watching when Jorja (hopefully married) leaves

Sheldon Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 12:07 AM EST

GSR IS CANON! The kiss, we want the kiss!

JUICY Sun, Oct 14, 2007 at 12:05 AM EST

Make it happen CBS! Give the fans what they want, otherwise the day that Jorja Fox does not appear in opening credits will be the day that someone says "It's Thursday night CSI, do you know where your fans are?"
---------------> watching Greys.

Hey Kat Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 11:54 PM EST

Comely is a compliment. Try using a dictionary before you insult someone as beautiful and sweet as Jorja Fox. And Linda - your perception of the character of Sara baffles me. Rude? Spoiled? (she had no parents and fended for herself). And unlikeable? then how come Greg likes her, and Grissom loves her, etc? Come on people. Give it up. He's proposing, it's fact.

jeneal Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 11:30 PM EST

LOVE IT! I can't wait, they are so meant together. This is the best. Sara Sidle character is amazing, honest, straight forward and smart, like so many of Jorja Fox Fans. Thats why we love GSR

Paige Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 11:29 PM EST

If this doesn't happen like the VAST MAJORITY want it to...then I wouldn't want to be CBS. We made you rich, we can make you broke.

Linda Morris Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 07:43 PM EST

I think CSI will be better off without Sara. I think Gil can find a more suitable mate. Jorga Fox is not a very good actress when it comes to Sara's Character. I have never liked her in this role and was disappointed when she was rescued on the season premiere. The character is spoiled, rude, and just plain unlikeable. I will be disappointed if Gil proposes to Sara

Mo Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 06:46 PM EST

I'm totally stoked for this. I've been a fan of their relationship since the beginning of the show. I just hope she doesn't say no and then run away from Vegas because the two can't stand to look at one another anymore.

Demelza Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 04:16 PM EST

Squee!!

I know I'm not the only one heaps excited about this. I just hope TPTB do the right thing and let her say YES!! Thank you CBS, this IS the moment we GSR shippers have been waiting for....but only if you do it right ;)

KaT Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 10:39 AM EST

Grissom can do a lot better than her. She is comely and stilted. Besides the obvious...can't see what he see's in her.

Erin Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 10:29 AM EST

I most certainly hope she says yes. I won't be lulled into a sense of false belief that Jorja is going to stay, but if she's going to go - at least let her go happy. I love this relationship and every single moment that has made it so. GSR, FTW.

Jessica Sat, Oct 13, 2007 at 08:54 AM EST

You don't know the truth. I saw some celebrities' blogs on searchingmillionaire.com. What they talked was more reasonable. It's a dating site for celebrities and wealthy people.

keane2 Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 11:44 PM EST

I have watched CSI for 7 years, and have been waiting for Sara and Grissom to get together the whole time. This is one of the most intelligently written romances on TV. They have just dished it out slowly keeping me hooked. They are both, smart, awkward and totally suited for eachother. Honestly I look forward to the moments with Peterson and Fox more than any other part of the show. Even if Fox leaves, which will create a black hole in the show I hope the writers will give both characters a happy ending....

Taryn Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:24 PM EST

I hope this is true. It would be the best thing to happen to CSI! Then maybe CBS may be able to get back some of us viewers who are ready to jump "ship" with Jorja Fox leaves....KEEP JORJA FOX ON CSI!

EKL Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:59 PM EST

I've already lost interest in the show and this storyline. I'll admit at the beginning I was for it but 7 years and some character development later and I just don't see it, am tired of it, and just done. Sara and Gris are too much alike and in TV land that equates to boring. And if I wanted romantic melodrama, I'd tune in to Grey's. I think they should keep this storyline to a minimum and go back to the basics of what made this a good show. Interesting crime stories and quirky investigators who are more about the victims than themselves. I fail to see how someone like Sara is the best role model on the show. Frankly, I'm not sure any of the characters could be at this point. And if I see one more season finale where a major character gets shot/stabbed/buried/kidnapped/tortured whatever . . . I'm gone. When did this turn into CSI Miami?

Lisa Cook Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 07:12 PM EST

I just happened to fall across the new CBS promo on youtube for this episode. And how nice are they that they mention GSR fans? Well its about time you stood up and noticed us CBS! Thanks to the CSI writers who have made us all so happy. Let them get married. It would be a perfect, absolutely perfect way to "conclude" this storyline!

KC Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 07:07 PM EST

It's about time a relationship was done right on television. After years of flirtatous remarks and two years of doe eyed looks, we are finally getting the big payoff and it's being portrayed perfectly! I never would have imaged a cop show could do relationships this well. Kudos CSI!

Shaki89 Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 06:25 PM EST

You'll be my idol forever David Rambo if this happens! Make it happen! GSR is canon, and to all the fellow fans who supported the campaign for Jorja Fox pat yourselves on your back!

PAM Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 06:00 PM EST

Those two deserve to be happy! Way to Go ! Make it happen! They need eachother, let them be happy. They have the best chemistry of a couple i've ever seen on television.

Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 05:45 PM EST

Seriously, all of you guys that say that sara and Grissom dont have chemistry? Are you SERIOUS? GSR fan or not anyone can see that they have the most chemistry between any of the characters on the show, personally, intimacy, or anything else as a matter of fact. Grissom and Sara complete each other, and you guys think that the show is turning soapy because one person who has devoted his life to the Forensics, and has always been socially awkward, finally found someone who understands him? You want soapy! WATCH GREYS! Grissom and Lady Heather? No. Grissoma dn sophia...haha hardly. Im glad that they are doing this.

Angel Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 05:32 PM EST

I hope they let sara and grissom have their happy ending, however CBS has really not impressed me lately. They really should keep a valuable actor like Jorja Fox.

From New Zealand with Love Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 05:30 PM EST

We love Sara in NZ! Long live GSR! Say Yes Sara! Keep Jorja Fox on CSI.

aussieforgood Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 05:12 PM EST

Finally a proposal! I hope that Sara says yes & I hope that Jorja stays on the show, Sara is my favorite character after they bug man himself and I dont think I'd be able to watch without her. I totally disagree with anyone who says that the tiny amount of GSR we get every now and then is turning the show into a soap, all we get is a 30 second look into their relationship, the show is still about forensics, sometimes we need to see something personal regarding the characters , they are humans not robots and they do have personal lives outside the lab. And I agree with one of the comments here, if there was anyone that was turning this show into a soap its Cath and all her drama. I'm not bashing her, I like her alot but it is true, some of her personal stories are too soapy for CSI. Long live GSR and I really hope Sara says yes. Save Sara!

Rachael P Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 05:07 PM EST

Well from what I have heard all over the internet lately this will make me among thousands of others extremely happy. It is time that CBS listens to their viewers, from what I have read on other sites, it appears CBS even turns away gifts in support of their actors. Wake up and smell the coffee CBS, it is the viewers who are loyal and the actors who portray the characters that we fall in love with, that in turn pay your salaries. You are rich because of US! Hope this storyline is true, but i'd be suprised if CBS does something right. I am very disappointed in how they act towards fans of their shows.

Catherine is the SOAP part of CSI Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 04:36 PM EST

I love Catherine and all the characters but come one, to say Gil and Sara are soapy after everything we've gone through with Catherine? Please. If you get jealous that Grissom loves Sara and his heart is now taken, just say it, don't pretend THEY are the only soapy part of the show because they are totally understated whereas Catherine's stories are always mad hysterics with her ex husband, her daughter (brat) her Father (gangster). Again, this is not a bash on Catherine - I liked all her storylines, just saying. There's more soap on a rope around her neck then GSR by FAR. Be fair Please

Sara is the BEST CHARACTER Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 04:30 PM EST

She's the most multi-dimensional, real and interesting character. Grissom (not for nothing) is the big grouch! But she loves him and I love them and I won't be watching when she leaves so there... to me GSR is something destined to be. I hope they do get married and to the poster who said who cares, it's a forensics show, we had to go through Catherine's family issues with her daughter and her father, and Grissom's potential hearing loss and Catherine dating various men and Grissom dating Terri and almost kissing Lady Heather so save it. Your argument falls flat. If you tuned in for all that you can tune in for the BEST ROMANCE ever. The sweetes, most real one

In Need of a Barf Bucket Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 03:50 PM EST

Who gives a crap what is next for Gil and Sara? This is supposed to be a forensics show, not a soap opera.

Mandy Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 03:41 PM EST

I can't wait to see CSI next week! As a huge Grissom/Sara fan, this is a great storyline development. And they should most definitely keep Jorja on the show.

Christine Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 02:18 PM EST

This is a dream come true, they are so meant to be together. Plse do it! Let Grissom and Sara be happy. Jorja Fox is the best!

rob mathews Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:47 PM EST

she's the weak link and least interesting character in the group. let her go.

Stef Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:39 PM EST

I watched one full episode of CSI. I won't tune in again until Sara is off. I could't stand her.

Ann Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 11:57 AM EST

Having Grissom and Sara get married would be a fan wish come true. Wow, a show that actually listens to the fans? Now that would be impressive. KEEP JORJA ON CSI AND LONG LIVE GSR!!

katya Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:59 AM EST

This is the best thing that the network could have done for CSI. This couple is intriguing, keeps the viewers watching when the crime storylines don't. Great job! Hope it happens!

GRISSOM Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:58 AM EST

I NEED HER! The lab needs her! CBS NEEDS HER! Marry me!

mg Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:56 AM EST

i agree with ms daisy, and also sara
s****, jorge does seem greedy, and i
don't see any chemistry between gil &
sara. the show is about solving a crime, at least that is why i watch it, not for romance.

GSRCANON Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:52 AM EST

The only way to go for CSi is to have Grissom and Sara together...get over it pple Jorja fox is here to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KD Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:44 AM EST

YUCK! I stopped watching the show because of this ridiculous storyline. I've always disliked the Sarah character and felt it was crap to put her together with Gil. Get rid of her and get this show back to it's previous interest level and quality!

Geoff Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:37 AM EST

Get rid of her. She is decidely the weak link in the CSI chain and could be replaced very easily.

just me Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 10:10 AM EST

I believe that she will propose, he will say no and she will leave ... thus leaving the show without being killed, etc. That way she can always come back

Dana Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:46 AM EST

I love Jorja Fox and William Petterson. I don't care if they get engaged just that both of these characters remain on the show. Jorja Fox portrays Sara so well and CSI would not be the same without her

M.A. Epstein Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:44 AM EST

And now CBS is harassing the companies delivering and sending the items for the fans. They want to know who's involved and they confiscated IDs. Oh, yes, CBS, bring it.

Lauren Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:40 AM EST

Sofia? LOL
OK, who else has Grissom had more chemistry with? Ecklie? Warrick? Mandy? Nick? Natalie? Lindsey? Seriously. GSR is understated for a reason. Seems to me, if you hate the show so much stop watching. I intend to stop watching when Jorja leaves whether they marry or not but it sure would be nice to have them bonded forever - not that they aren't already. You don't write love letters with Shakespeare Sonnets in them to someone with whom you have no chemisty. They have trust and love AND chemistry.

Holly Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:35 AM EST

I just love the two characters together. THey have great Chemistry. It would be really nice to have a TV couple that don't cheat and lie to each other. Yah can't wait until next week

Lily Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:35 AM EST

I don't think I've ever seen in the history of TV shows, a group of people, who SO go against what the writers are trying to do. They give us this wonderful, quirky, loner of a man, Grissom, with whom we all fall in love and then they give us from Season 1, Episode 2 his love interest. They put it out for us, they make it grow, they put bumps in the road but the love is always there and here we are 8 years later still talking about a woman he spent one night talking with when he was losing his hearing and his life was falling apart. When will it end? Oh , maybe when Grissom and Sara wed. But no, there will still be people hoping LH can't hold her peace at the ceremony. Long Live GSR the best romance on TV ever.

Wayne Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:30 AM EST

Anyone wanna bet that the "unconventional marriage proposal" will have something to do with the cocoon that Gil sent to her during his sabbatical? That little plot point never amounted to anything - so far.

Lene Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:29 AM EST

Never really believed these two together. Now Grissom and Sofia was another story. They actually had chemistry.

Lily Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:29 AM EST

Lady Heather and Grissom have more chemistry than Sara and Grissom. In what universe? Surely not in the same one in which CSI has existed with episodes like Butterflied, No More Bets, Blood Lines, Scooba Duba Doobie, Committed, Snakes, and the list goes on. To each his own but Lady Heather and Grissom have what amounts to one drop in the bucket compared to GSR. GSR is the ship of the century jump on or sink. And the relationship of Sara/Grissom is so above the intellect of a 12 year old that it is constantly put down by people with only the intellect of 12 year olds. Please now. Let it go. Grissom loves Sara (as evidenced in every season for 8 years) can't you'll accept it? It seriously gets ridiculous after a while to keep hearing about LH. Grissom cares about LH but he doesn't love her or want to marry her... um that would be Sara

Eileen S. Ross Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 09:04 AM EST

Since when did 12-year-olds read EW and CNN online?

CSI used to be a smart TV show that caters to mature and intelligent individuals. I cannot believe it sacrificed the whole essence of the show to write for 12-year-olds who live their lives around a TV couple.

No way I'd tune in to a High School Musical copycat.

Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 08:59 AM EST

I love this show and will continue to watch it regardless (as I always have), even though I hate the Grissom/Sara relationship. Grissom and Lady Heather are a much better fit, chemistry-wise. If we'd seen the relationship develop through THAT lens (his having to choose between the match for his brain [Lady Heather] vs. the match for his passion for work [Sara]), it would be far easier to stomach. But the relationship coming about because Brass almost died is far too contrived and convenient, especially with Grissom's hypocrisy regarding letting personal life and feelings interfere with work.

If we MUST have a relationship between main characters, I'd much rather see Catherine and Warrick together than Grissom and Sara. THAT is chemistry that has been evident from the beginning, and it would be much more interesting to see the drama from their lives intersecting.

Shadow Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 08:58 AM EST

Hint to the writers of CSI... A 2 hour made-for-tv movie of Sara and Gil's wedding would be the topping on the cake!!

Nancy Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 08:57 AM EST

I am so happy to see that I am not the only one who cannot stand Jorga Fox. I cringe every time I have to listen to her whiny voice. It always seemed to me that every comment out of her mouth should have a question mark after it. Then I realized it's more like she's singing her words. Very annoying. Every since I heard that she might be leaving the show, I have been looking forward to not having to watch her or listen to her any more. I hope she goes and stays away.

Tracey Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 08:55 AM EST

I am thrilled that Grissom and Sara are together at last. They were always meant to be! I'd be shocked if Sara said no to Grissoms proposal. I can't get over the fact that Jorja's leaving CSI though. :(

Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 07:42 AM EST

Characters marrying = Jumping the shark!

Lauren Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 07:29 AM EST

The character of Sara is unsympathetic? Have we been watching the same show? Sara is totally sympathetic, empathetic, you name it. And please, no matter how upset you are that two people who are totally alike could fall in love, don't compare CSI to GA? That's just wrong on all kinds of levels. It doesn't even make sense and actually I shouldn't have even commented on it for that reason.

Jurgen Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 06:38 AM EST

Wow! This is amazing news! I hope Sara accepts his proposal and that Jorja Fox stays at CSI. Hats off to those Dollars for Sense guys for keeping on with this campaign - I hope they get the resolution they deserve. As for those people who hate Sara and Grissom as a couple, it really is only a tiny bit of the show and the few seconds (sometimes the odd minute or two) in which Grissom and Sara are interacting as a couple shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the show too much.

Dominique Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 06:10 AM EST

Hi,

In TvGuide, Jorja didn't deny or confirm her departure. So I'm really almost sure she stays in the show.
All these questions allow to maintain another suspense in CSI.
The season 7 was not yet aired in France and I'm looking forward to see it.
Next week, the integrale season 6 will released in my country. Yep!!!! It's great. I'm also looking forward to watching it in original version, so with the voices of our actors. It's better!

I sincerely hope Jorja will stay. I like Sara's character. From the season 1, it's sure she is attracted by Gil Grissom and not by another one man. Their relationships existed with some hits, and truth sometimes, but not official between both.
I'm happy it's official with the last episod of season 6... And now... with the rest of the team?!!!

Thank to all the actors of CSI! They are great, and nice through the interviews.

Sincerely,
Dominique from France

theringismine Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 06:08 AM EST

I love CSI, but Grissom and Sara are the most boring couple on TV! Sara is not "sensitive". She may do her job well, but she is cold and thoroughly unlikeable and unsympathetic. I didn't even feel sorry for her under that car! Millions of viewers did not tune because they care what would happen to Sara - They wanted to see the end of the miniature killer story. Grissom and Sara getting married would be such a mistake. You hear that splash? That's CSI jumping the shark!

David Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 04:26 AM EST

Grissom and Sara are different from the other TV couples? That's B.S!

Grissom proposing to Sara is too cliché and isn't different from the storylines in Grey's Anatomy, As the World Turns, etc.

I really hate the writers they're making the show sappier than Grey's Anatomy! Ugh!

Ali Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 04:09 AM EST

At last, we are canon. WE are canon. Us, GSR. Canon. Thank you David Rambo. You are a wonderful man. Our campaign to save Sara will continue. Please join us (that's the canon us not the other sinking ships btw) www.dollarforsense.net.

To all the folks who still can't spell Sara 's name right, who think CSI turned into the Grissom and Sara show, to the people who found their romance unbelievable, to the ones who likes to insult the charachters/actors - writers - producers etc. of CSI.... I can only say : "suck it up, 'cause we are CANON baby :)

Béné Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 02:59 AM EST

OK guys, wedding, baby, that's all very exciting, but how about a KISS??
We've waited 7 years for that baby, so now come OOOOON, BRING-IT-ON! :D

Mary Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 02:28 AM EST

I must say that Grissom and Sara's relationship have really given me a new found hope in television shows these days. The romance they share is so pure and believable. They have great chemistry without the sexual scenes and innuendos that most shows have. Though CSI is a forensics show, I loved how the writers have explored Grissom and Sara's relationship tastefully--without overpowering the concept of the show. It really shows that love has no boundaries despite uncontrollable factors such as age, employment, and common human insecurities. A marriage is usually the result of two people realizing and celebrating their love for one another. As long as CSI doesn't devote a whole episode to an hour long wedding, I think the idea of Grissom and Sara getting married is expected as well as deserved. Thank you for making me a believer of true love and happy endings.

Brittany Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 01:41 AM EST

YES! DREAM COME TRUE! GSR FOREVER!!!!

And keep Jorja Fox on the show!!!

Olivia L. Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 01:33 AM EST

KEEP SARA AND GIL TOGETHER !!!! I have been watching CSI from the beginning and would hate to see their relationship gone. They are wonderful together !!! If you ever READ this Jorga.....PLEASE STAY !!!! :)

carrie Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 01:12 AM EST

I just hope you make the fans finally happy CBS and make this come true. It would be the "perfect" way to conclude this storyline.

Hilary Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:50 AM EST

GSR?JF/WP fans will all be happy to hear this! And the great thing about it is that william petersen and jorja fox both support these character developments and storylines as well. They want this to happen as much as we do. They know they have chemistry. I can't wait until they get married.

Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:48 AM EST

Its about time you did something the fans want!

Luis Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:42 AM EST

I just laugh at CBS seem to be getting food for there shows...I ponder what type of food you get for certain shows.

Still I hope they stay together...can't see them without them but they need to go further like a kiss, but if you need that as proof then I feel bad for you

Lily Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:26 AM EST

LOL two lovely, lonely, hardworking people fall in love and it's vulgar. Heeee the world is full of crazies for sure and it isn't JF/GSR fans - it's the inexplicable hatred. I hope she says YES but I wouldn't put it past TPTB to make her put her answer off and then have her come back in the finale. And WP's wish to act on stage will come QUICKER if they kill the GSR (something he supports and has supported for years) GSR rocks.

Foxy Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:25 AM EST

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for doing this great storyline. Grissom needs Sara. The fans need her too.

InYourFace Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:24 AM EST

GSR CANON BABY!

Shawn Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:23 AM EST

I love it! Not only did Sara SURVIVE she's getting married. WE LOVE YOU WILLIAM PETERSEN AND JORJA FOX! No two pple are more meant to be together than these two.

Taylor Morgan Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:21 AM EST

Yeah! You just made me so happy! its about time we saw some real romance between these two.

Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:20 AM EST

Grissom and Sara r perfect for eachother. Good job writers!

GRETCHEN Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:18 AM EST

it's always good to have a crime show that shows the personal side to its' characters without over-doing it and making it into a soap drama like on daytime. The Sara/Grissom storyline has been so "tastfully" done and by showing us snippets of their romance without going overboard and making it too soapy shows that the writers for CSI know what they are doing. This is a great storyline, one in which I hope receives a happy ending by marriage.

Shayla Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:16 AM EST

That network could only get much better ratings by making these two characters marry. DO IT CBS...I dare you to make the fans happy

Linda Fri, Oct 12, 2007 at 12:06 AM EST

Oh, wonderful! First those of us who are disgusted by the Grissom/Sara pairing are subjected to "the obscene." Next we will be subjected to what I have deemed "the vulgar": Grissom's marriage proposal.

YUCK!!

Hey, writers! "CSI" is about crime scene investigation. It's not the "Grissom & Sara Show." Remember?

DS Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 11:35 PM EST

I'm a big fan of CSI, but to be honest, I haven't bought into the relationship between Gil and Sarah... Like the forensics, not so wild about the romance. I will probably watch regardless of what happens, unless this "relationship" eclipses the other characters who I like better than Sarah. (Sarah is probably my least favorite character.)

Sam Thornton Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 11:13 PM EST

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Grissom and Sara are great together.

Sam Thornton Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 11:13 PM EST

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Grissom and Sara are great together.

Sharise Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 11:08 PM EST

Oh yeah this is the greatest news of television in all time! They belong together and CBS has finally does us proud!

amber Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 11:03 PM EST

I can not stand the sara character and her and gil do not have chemistry! He should have gotten with lady heather! They had better chemistry! I hope Jorja does leave!

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 11:02 PM EST

Sara and Grissom belong together. It was just meant to be. Give them a happy ending for goodness sake!

Diana Carmen Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:54 PM EST

The bottom line is if Sara and Grissom get married and Jorja Fox stays until the end you have me as a loyal viewer, if they get married and she is no longer seen on the show, you get a contented viewer up to that episode and then I stop watching, if she says No then you get one less viewer-ME.

Hadapurpura Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:52 PM EST

That was unexpected... in a really good way. I can't wait to see that proposal, and I can't wait to hear Sara answer with a big fat YESSS!!! - although I must admit I'd have preferred it bo be a surprise, to see the ep. and say "wow! I didn't see THAT coming!!!"

ButterflyLover Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:41 PM EST

It would be very bad writing on the part of CSI/CBS if Sara and Grissom don't get married. They are looking at losing thousands of viewers if Jorja Fox leaves the show. It is time CBS put the angst out of the relationship and give some good old romance to the two of them.

Connie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:36 PM EST

Let Sara Sidle have her happy ending for once, hasn't the girl been through enough? Let her marry Grissom and give us our faith back in CBS.

KT Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:22 PM EST

I so hope this is true! I love the fact that the the writers avoided all the cliche relationship stuff that other shows are made of, and allowed 2 people with very similar interests and personalities to finally wade through professional/societal taboos and follow thier hearts. WP and JF love their characters, and it shows in their terrific chemistry together. Hooray to CSI for ignoring narrow minded "too young, too skinny, too ugly" comments, and giving the characters of Gil and Sara the relationship they both have always wanted!

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:09 PM EST

wow that is just the best news!

cruel_stars Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:01 PM EST

Exciting news! "Unconventional" is typical Grissom, but really just perfect for these two. They make a great couple and truly complement and complete one another.

CAS Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 10:01 PM EST

What a disappointment this season has been.

Conclude the GSR they said, marry them off, whatever, get it over with! I am so sick of GSR!

Petersen may get his wish to return to acting sooner than he thinks. The writers are killing CSI off episode, by episode........what a shame!

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 09:43 PM EST

If she doesn't say yes I'm flying to LA to picket outside cbs filming studios. Do you hear me? She HAS to say yes! Jorja rocks! William Petersen rocks!

Lauren Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 09:38 PM EST

BJohnson. Good point. CSI has always been about Sara/Grissom from the very 1st season and onward. I'm not sure why people moan and groan over Sara/Grissom and their very under-stated romance but when Lady Heather shows up its A-OK. Sara/Grissom rock hard. Sara is the best character on the show by far in my opinion and I think my opinion should count. Now whether or not Sara says 'YES' we shall have to wait and see. I hope TPTB aren't going to torture us by having her say 'let me think about it.' LOL Grissom asks 'spend your life with me' Immediate Answer = YES!

Shelly Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 09:34 PM EST

I LOVE YOU DAVID RAMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as long as she says YES ;)

BJohnson Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 09:19 PM EST

It's Vegas baby, there wouldn't be a normal proposal or a normal wedding for them. Hey I think it's cool to see a relationship that really doesn't change the characters, they just are together, that's it. Now when am I gonna get Gary half nekkid?? Oh and the people who want just the crime to solve, turn to Court TV.

CSIFan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 09:17 PM EST

Someone said Sara is the only character no one would notice if they killed off. There are 90 posts here, besides mine. Only about 5 seem to want Sara off the show. The rest would very much notice, I assure you. I'd say the odds are overwhelmingly in the Pro Sara camp!

Yolanda Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 08:58 PM EST

Sara deserves a happy ending. I hope this is true and they get married. it would be nice if a TV show for once let it be the way it is supposed to be.

Shane Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 08:20 PM EST

Great news! Jorja Fox is hot. Let her stay on CSI, she deserves to be a part of the show right to the end.

MODSQUAD Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 08:15 PM EST

Oh THIS better have something to done with that cocoon grissom sent sara. For Goodness sake, I've never known two characters in the history of television that deserve such a happy ending. You go Grissom! Get the woman!

maria Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 08:11 PM EST

Is this insanity ever going to end? The writers should have stuck to science and crime. That they could handle. The beautiful part about Fox's supposed departure is that it brings this terrible storyline to an end.

csifanatic Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 08:08 PM EST

Whether Sara or Grissom get married, Jorja Fox still needs to stay in the CSI ensemble! No Jorja Fox means no CSi in my house.

Angie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:49 PM EST

I love Jorja Fox and I want her to stay on CSI. The team belongs together right to the end. And I've waited SEVEN years for Grissom and Sara to get together. This is one of the best romances I've ever seen on either TV or movies. Their chemistry together is incredible. And it has been from the beginning. So refreshing to see love portrayed as more than just sex. These two were made for one another. If Jorja leaves CSI, I won't be able to watch anymore. For once TPTB need to show that two people can be in love and have a permanent relationship. Listen up CBS--the fans are speaking and they want Jorja. How many of us have had characters that we come to love in shows that we loved that because of what TPTB want, disappear?
It's one thing when they want to go, but it's another thing when they are forced out because the network is too greedy to pay them what they deserve.

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:39 PM EST

I've died and gone to CSI Heaven! Please please please say its true! grissom needs sara sara needs grissom they belong together happily married.

Sharolette Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:37 PM EST

Bring it on baby! bring it on! SARA and GRISSOM are MEANT to be TOGETHER! FOREVER! This is the BEST news. It is about time that the writers began to listen to the viewers.

pdrobbbins Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:32 PM EST

I love commenting on things that will never change the world to a better place. Thats why I watch the show. No matter what happens...married?, Pregnant? shacking up? I get a kick out of following along. Gets me away from real life for a while. I want to see more meat in the Sara-Gil relationship. Come on! Bring it on!

CSIfan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:28 PM EST

I hope these spoilers are true. We have been waiting for YEARS to see this happen.

Andrea Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:26 PM EST

THIS MAKES MY DAY! WOOOOOOOO

Libby Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:25 PM EST

OMG SO AWESOME! I'm so pumped for this, totally been waiting for this!

Eileen Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:23 PM EST

Sara has always been "the heart of CSI", has humanized Grissom into a real human being, and makes him smile like never before! This is great news, they both deserve a "happily ever after!"

ana paula Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:22 PM EST

oh my god
is this true????
i love Sara and Grissom!!!!
KEEP JORJA
NO JORJA =NO CSI

Elizabeth Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:22 PM EST

How wonderful! I can't wait to watch this happen! I will be glued to my tv.

Lauren Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:18 PM EST

How anyone can not see the GSR is beyond me. They are so awesome together. They even surpass Mulder and Scully in my book and that's saying alot! How anyone could wish Sara to die is beyond me. She's such a good person, never hurts anyone. I hope they get married and live happily ever after!

Tefla Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:15 PM EST

I'd like to direct the first part of my comment to chippy. The age difference between Grissom and Sara is no different than the one between my parents. Age does not matter one iota.

As for the possible news - I am taking it cautiously but I can't help but be thrilled at the prospect. It'd be interesting to see. I would like it to happen.

Also for all those commentators who believe there is nothing between Sara and Grissom. To quote Rafiki "LOOK HAR-DER!"

Kill off Sara PLEASE Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:12 PM EST

CBS - I cannot tell you the disappointment I felt when Sara Sidle survived the season premiere. And to date, it was the most boring of any season opener yet! I remember when Nick was buried alive, and every second of that episode, I was on the edge of my seat cheering that they get to him alive. With the episode 2 weeks ago, I was cheering for them to find SS's body in the desert. I was so excited last week when I heard that Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox)was only going to be in only 6 or 7 episodes and be gone. She is a talentless actress that has no business being on such a great show. Every scene she is in is boring. I can't stand to listen to her slow, illiterate sounding voice, like fingernails on a chalkboard. She is the ONLY main character on that show that if she were gone, no one would notice. The show will be much better without her. And don't just let her leave to take another job somewhere , kill her so she can't come back!

seattlecsifan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:12 PM EST

I hope this is true. The subtle Sara/Grissom romance has been a great addition to the show. I love a great crime drama, but only when I care about the characters. I think all of the characters on CSI, with the exception of Ecklie, are great & would hate to see any of them leave the show. Sara & Grissom are my favorites on the show & I waould love to see them have a happy ending.

tikismile Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:12 PM EST

I'd love to have this happen! I enjoy the understated sweetness of their relationship. It's a relationship the show has been building for 8 years, and it's a great example of love that builds over time and burns long. A lot of people don't seem to understand a relationship that isn't all about "soap opera" type drama. As a viewer for eight years, and a consumer of their "product" (6 seasons on DVD in the bookshelf) it's nice to finally get payoff and *hopefully* it means she'll be staying on the show, at least until Sara and Grissom are ready to "ride off into the sunset".

Susan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:11 PM EST

You know, I love the forensic aspect of the show, but as with any show the thing that really draws me is the chemistry of the cast. They need humanity. I don't want to watch a bunch of automatons just going through the motions of solving crimes. I say it's a shame that a mature, loving relationship can be looked at unfavorably. If you don't like a character, that's fine, but is there any need to be hateful. I don't read spoilers, as I like to be surprised, so I didn't read this whole article, but I do get the gist. No, I wouldn't want to watch the show that was just about the personal lives, but come on! The amount of "personal" stuff is kept to a minimum, and the cases are what take president. But, it's nice to have a good, mature, stable relationship to fill in for the times when a case isn't so hot. I support the Save Jorja campaign, because without her, the chemistry of the whole show changes. Plus, we haven't even seen a kiss! I can't wait to see what happens.

Louise Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:10 PM EST

OMG, I hope this is true, I really do, I love CSI and I like Sara's character, I think she is a role model and a really good one.

And if somebody think that Grissom has more chemestry with Lady Heather or bugs well, maybe they don't know what "chemestry" is, are blind or something or maybe they're talking about a diferent TV show, this is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, people, focus please.

MDO Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:08 PM EST

This is wonderful news. Grissom and Sara married would rock. They are so right for each other.

Sara is a wonderful role model as is Ms. Fox.

What I don't understand is those who say Grissom and Sara cannot be in love due to the age difference. Do these same people write Mr. Petersen and DEMAND him to divorce his wife? Do they claim to know he doesn't really love her due to the fact she is like 18 years younger than he is? Why is age matter if love exist?

Drea Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:06 PM EST

I am so thrilled if this ends up being true? Sara and Grissom have always been an intriguing match and the actors just sizzle chemistry on-screen. I can't wait to see what CSI has in store for us in terms of their relationship! It's definitely gotten me to care more about the show than when it was just about the cases. Science is fine and all, but you need human stories to engage your audience.

Jordan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:05 PM EST

Jorja Fox portrays the character of Sara Sidle with grace and integrity. Without her CSI just would not hold the appeal for me anymore. She portrays a character who has humanity, wit, brilliance, and is seen as such a great role model for all young women. Lets hope that this is true.

leigh Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:04 PM EST

I love the character Sara Sidle and I would be very disappointed if she were to leave CSI. CBS wake up and keep her from leaving!!

Lauren Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:03 PM EST

oh My God I would die of utter happiness if this should happen. It would be so fitting and so overdue. I adore Grissom/Sara. They would be in geek heaven if they were married and together for life!

Clara Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:01 PM EST

It is about time! Those characters are amazing, as are the actors that portray them! Long live the romance on CSI.

Justin Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 07:00 PM EST

Good news, I hope this means the character Sara stays and Jorja Fox receives the raise she so deserves.

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:59 PM EST

You ALL at CSI! All of you writers and producers will get a big FAT KISS from me if this is true!

Kellie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:58 PM EST

I don't care if it's true that Grissom and Sara will get married or engaged or whatever. I just hope it's true that means Sara will be staying on the show. She's the best character they have.
For me without Sara, I won't bother with CSI again!

Jenna Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:57 PM EST

Sara and Grissom have had great chemistry since the beginning of the show, maybe subtle at times but always there. Sara has always been a wonderful addition to the show, and without her the show would not be the same - and not in a good way. Jorja is a very talented, beatiful part of the show.

p.s. And it is not greedy to want to be paid compatible with your same level costars.

GSR FAN Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:57 PM EST

Since most episodes don't show anything personal between Grissom and Sara this would just be the icing on the cake and what us fans have waited for all these years. CSI is a great crime drama and 9/10's of each show is based around that- the actual solving of the crimes, but as most people, we want to see the human, personal sides of the characters we grow to love as well. Bring in on! Grissom and Sara deserve THEIR happy ending!

Andrea from Texas Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:54 PM EST

Oh that is FANTASTIC NEWS! let's hope its true, otherwise CBS can expect some more mail!

candlee Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:54 PM EST

I always thought Grissom to be a traditionalist. As Grissom would find apropos to quote, "love knows no boundaries." They're onscreen chemistry is wicked and they're perfect for each other, just the way they are. Rock on.

KS Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:53 PM EST

If this is true then my CSI watching days will be over. I could've handled the relationship between Grissom and Sidle if the writers had chosen to portray it in a more mature and rational manner but, between the tedious, contrived angst on the screen concerning the two and the drama about Ms. Fox in the press, I've started to feel manipulated and I resent that feeling.
I started watching the show because it was a well-written, adult drama that had a liberal dose of dark humour sprinkled through it and that was rare on prime time television, now it seems as if it's rare on CSI as well. The last couple of seasons have been disappointing for me and, if this article is any indication, it seems as if the trend will continue. I will give the show the benefit of the doubt for a while more but, if the writing continues its downward spiral, then I'll just turn off my television Thursday nights and pick up a good book like I do the rest of the week.

Abie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:53 PM EST

That would rock! And to all of you who think itll turn "soapy",do you really think thed turn the whole show into ONLY gsr?Get a grip, thed be keeping more viewers than losing viewers.

JACEE! Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:52 PM EST

Awwww geek Love!! Ya gotta love it!! About time CBS did something right along the storyline of Grissom and Sara.

Lily Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:52 PM EST

This would be absolutely beautiful and fitting. Grissom has loved Sara for years. They belong together. I hope this happens so much because it is what SHOULD happen. They are destined to be together. My favorite characters of all time

Veronica Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:50 PM EST

omg, I think I've died and gone to heaven! I hope to God this happens, Sara and Grissom are the best couple on television, and deserve happily ever after! I cannot wait until next week, I will probably cry of happiness if its true!!

Brooke Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:50 PM EST

Aww, really?? That is so cute.

I think they're an adorable couple. They give a lot of heart to the show, which runs the risk of becoming too procedural otherwise.

Great news!

Thanks!

Marie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:50 PM EST

I really hope CSI does this storyline. Grissom and Sara are great together and they deserve to be happy. I want Jorja to stay on the show with the rest of the cast. In this point in the series, they have something that works and it's stupid to mess that up.

The better half Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:48 PM EST

Without Sara there is no CSI! Let's hope they keep Jorja Fox and Grissom and Sara live happily ever after, they get Ecklie fired, Grissom takes over the lab, the night shift stays intact and Brass finally finds the love of his life too!

Mari Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:48 PM EST

I SO don't like Sara for Gil. There's no real chemistry. Sara just bugs BIG time! I say let her leave.

Kristin Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:46 PM EST

This is great, I hope its true! I was so upset at the thought of Jorja Fox leaving the show. Glad to see maybe that won't happen after all.

Kata Robinson Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:46 PM EST

Whats with pple saying that he is too old for her? Millions of pple all over the world fall in love with 10-15-20 years between their ages! True love breaks all rules! Sara and Grissom belong together!

Aimee Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:45 PM EST

WOOHOO!! That is fantastic news! I've been waiting over seven years to hear that, I'm glad it's finally happening. Grissom and Sara belong together, always have done and always will do. I just hope that our campaign to keep JF works, as I really don't want Sara to go. Long live GSR! I can't wait to see this episode.
www.dollarsforsense.net

Ha! Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:43 PM EST

Wel...well....well.....I hope this is not LM's way of trying to keep the "gifts" from appearing on the steps of CBS! Those two characters belong together, for seven years they have been working up to this point in their relationship! It is about time CBS listened to the fans! No sara = No CSI = viewers watching other shows not on CBS!

grissidle Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:42 PM EST

This sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the geek babies. They are so real as a couple, none of that typical sleep with someone and get rid of them within a month, that's for the immature. This is adult relationship at it's finest.

Liz Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:41 PM EST

Oh, I hope! This would be very cool.

jackie r Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:38 PM EST

i would LOVE for this to be true! But don't believe anything I read in entertainment news until I see it happen with my own eyes.....I hope this is NOT TPTB's way of trying to stop the fans from supporting Jorja Fox, because no matter what happens to the character of Sara Sidle....Jorja Fox needs to stay and Les Moonves needs to start paying attention to the people who made him who he is today! (ie: the actors, and the fans!)

CSI Lover Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:35 PM EST

Grissom has never shown any interest in Sara? Seriously JD, what show were you watching? He told her once, very early on, that he was never interested in beauty before he met her. The CSI Companion on page 21 says Crate and Burial (episode 3)"contains hints of Sara and Grissoms atraction TO EACH OTHER". William Petersen is quoted in the same book as saying the sparks between his character and Sara have always been there. The line about Beauty, in fact, was Petersen's idea because he thought that was just how Grissom felt.
So you might never have seen it before it was reveled in Season 6, but that's not because it wasn't there. It was there, purposely, from the very beginning of the series.
And Sara is hardly the only CSI who has gotten too involved in her cases. Grissom in Gentle Gentle and Altar Boys, Warrick in Random Acts of Violence, Catherine got so involved once it led to murder.
I don't see how Sara's empathy for the victims makes her less of a role model, as you implied.

Brandelyn Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:17 PM EST

I was happy last season when they finally showed Sara in Grissoms bed...FINALLY!!! I am just wondering if he will propose with a ring over chocolate covered bugs or something weird like that...Lol I am sure it will be interested, but just to throw us off it will probably be completely normal and romantic. I think she is like the one person who "gets" him...and that is what makes it so right! I like her and I LOVE the show...keep up the great writing...and great acting ya'll! You have a lot of fans out there!

yamanbaia Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:14 PM EST

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

dollars for sense forever!!

chippy Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:09 PM EST

Sara is way too young to be Grissom's love interest...must be at least a 12-15 year age gap there...doesn't make sense.

JD Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:07 PM EST

CSI Fan: You said, "Sara is one of the only good female characters and role models on TV today. She's intelligent, sensitive, and has a profound sense of justice."

You forgot to add, "and the whole of her life is spent either 1) being entirely too involved in her cases or 2) pining over a man who has shown absolutely no attraction to her whatsoever.

This is what irks fans about the whole relationship. Grissom had shown absolutely no romantic interest in Sara at all. All the sudden, "she's the only thing (he) ever loved?" It's completely out of character and they have no chemistry. Not to mention the idea of Sara with her much older supervisor, who always makes damn sure everyone else abides by the rules of propriety, is completely skeevy and inappropriate.

Carrie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:00 PM EST

I love Sara. I love Grissom. I HATE Sara & Grissom together. Grissom has more chemistry with his bugs than he has with Sara. If TPTB insist on putting two people from the team together there are several different pairings that are much more believable than Grissom & Sara and hell of a lot more exciting.

Denise Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 06:00 PM EST

I love the character of Sara Sidle. She's the only reason I watch the show anymore. I truly hope she will be staying. And if there is a proposal, that would be lovely as well. It would be nice to see a TV romance that reaches a positive, natural conclusion like marriage. It doesn't always have to be the games that TV writers play.

I think Jorja Fox is a talented actress, and a good person. That she's been tainted with the "greedy" label is grossly unfair. She hasn't had a raise in years, and is paid the least of any on the show. Jorja deserves better treatment. Especially when an episode dedicated to her character garnered CSI it's best ratings in ages, and left it's competitors in the dust.
Without Jorja Fox, I will not watch CSI OR CBS.

kats Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:58 PM EST

I always liked Gil and Sara together. I don't find them at all unbelievable. She is exactly the kind of girl Gil would be attracted to and has been since the beginning of time apparently. Remember the episode with the guy who married the younger woman who broke his heart? I think he killed her. Anyway, it was clear from that moment on just how much Grissom pined for Sara. I also don't mind a touch of the personal with my procedural though some do. I like to know that the people solving the crimes are human.

CT Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:57 PM EST

I think this news is absolutely wonderful. We having been watching the subtle chemistry between Griss and Sara develop since the very beginning of the show and now that they are together ( and have been for 2 years) it will be great to see them make a public commitement to their love for each other. They are an amazing couple and deserve to be happy together.
GSR FOREVER

CSI Fan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:50 PM EST

I would be very happy were this to be the case. (Even happier were Jorja Fox to stay on CSI.)

I will never understand the animosity some people feel for this character. (Actually, I'm afraid I do. Pure jealousy is at the root of it, I believe. How pitiful to be jealous of a fictional character!)

Sara is one of the only good female characters and role models on TV today. She's intelligent, sensitive, and has a profound sense of justice. She's not perfect, thank God, and she faces her mistakes and does something about them. She isn't a bimbo who can only think to use her body to get what she wants *hello Catherine!*, she doesn't use sex to manipulate, or succeed.

The relationship between she and Grissom has been hinted at since the show began. And has never taken more than 3-4 minutes out of any episode. How incredibly irrational are the fans who find 4 minutes, and often less, enough to "ruin" a show. Or make it a soap. Laughable. They should tune into Grey's to see suds.

Keri Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:41 PM EST

I have never thought Jorja would leave, but I have supported all of the campains and am on alot of GSR sites. I am thrilled with this news and I am hoping for a great big geek wedding very soon.
Gsr is one of the main reasons I watch even though I love the show.
Thier romance is true and I feel good when I see them together.
GSR fans are very happy!!!!

JD Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:40 PM EST

I can't stand the Sara Sidle character. She and Grissom are so grossly mis-matched - it's just bizarro! He had 10 times better chemistry with Lady Heather! Now that "The (lame) OC" is cancelled, bring Lady Heather back and let her and Gil do their thing! I am sure Jorja Fox is a lovely person, but get rid of Sara Sidle. Never liked that character and like her less with Grissom. I'd rather see Brass and Grissom together than Sara and Grissom.

Sue Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:33 PM EST

This is the best thing I've heard since Carol Hathaway ran away to be with Doug Ross, and Sara/Gil are a much more believable couple besides.

Elisee Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:31 PM EST

Perfect. Enough said.

Crystal Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:30 PM EST

Wow! Great news. I would still hate it if Jorja leaves but if she has to leave, I want G/S to be together at least when she does. This is the most unique romance on TV by far.

Sandra Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:29 PM EST

I would love to see a proposal by Grissom, if only for the sheer fact that a proposal by Grissom will by definition be unorthodox. This relationship has been so subtly wowen for the past 7 years, I think it's high time that we see some real development.

Susan Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:27 PM EST

Sara Sidle&Gil Grissom...how CONTRIVED. Their "romance" has always struck me as forced and a little icky. (It helps that there's zero chemistry between the actors, they do better chemistry in the lab)
I'd rather see Sara Sidle get a good woman in her life...like Catherine Willows. They'd be such a cute, loveable couple. And they have lots more chemistry!

eleen Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:26 PM EST

That's amazing! I hope it happens, GSR is the best part of CSI!

the coyote Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:23 PM EST

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES !!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE GSR!!!!!

Lannie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:14 PM EST

Littman said "GSR would conclude" Well Marriage is conclusive.

Dan/STL Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:13 PM EST

Sara does suck! I have no way of knowing whether Ms. Fox is talented or not, but her character as written is whiny, has a massive chip on her shoulder, and is a royal pain to watch. The Gil/Sara romance is creepy. I picked up the show in season 3 & have watched faithfully since, but no more. I wanted Sara killed off. I won't watch again unless & until she's written off one way or another.

Ms Daisy Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:10 PM EST

The show is better when it is focused on solving the crime(s) of the week. More procedural, less personal please.

Sara Sidle-Grissom Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:05 PM EST

That sure has a nice ring to it. Better yet, Dr. and Mrs. Grissom. As a Grissom/Sara fan and a definite member of the "Dollars for Sense" campaign, I'm thrilled that this could be coming up for us.

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 05:00 PM EST

Sara Sucks, you're an idiot. 25 million people watched the premiere, all because they cared about what would happen to Sara. If the ratings drop later, it'll be because Jorja left. I'm just one of many who is out once Jorja is. Keep Jorja Fox on CSI!!!! http://www.dollarsforsense.net

Liz Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:56 PM EST

Nicole Dayley and Sara Sidle. Two girls who like bugs. Grissom sure knows how to pick a woman. So perfect. Good boy!

FINALLY! Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:55 PM EST

The idea of Grissom and Sara getting married is something I've been wishing for since CSI began. I would love to see them get hitched.

GP Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:51 PM EST

I like her because she's not a bimbo-looking blonde (or redhead) and she's believable in the role. You never see Sara wear white pants to a crime scene or low-cut blouses that would be shocking in any office I know!

Kate Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:51 PM EST

This sounds too good to be true! If it really does happen I can't wait to see how it's "unorthodox." :)

Karla Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:43 PM EST

A geek wedding will be awesome!!!! please let it happen!

Why Oh Why Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:34 PM EST

Terrible news. Thanks for ruining my enjoyment of tonight's episode. And thanks for nothing, CSI writers and producers! You got our hopes up by declaring this would conclude. Now, are the crazy rumors about a pregnancy-oriented season finale also true? Gag me.

Jenny Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:32 PM EST

Interesting! I don't think Sara is going to stay and I am not crazy about her character myself, but hell, I admit I do enjoy the relationship between her and Grissom. Nice touch, last season was VERY good.

Marie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:26 PM EST

I hope she does not stick around. I do not want CSI the soap opera with Gil and Sara being engaged let alone getting married. I might be sick.

Dare Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:26 PM EST

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I for one can not wait to hear how Gil Grissom will propose. Sigh. Well worth a 7+ year wait.

Robyn Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:18 PM EST

My fan-girl dreams are coming true. I am very excited to see this.

Annie Hughes, UK Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 04:01 PM EST

Miss Rice while I may bow to your Journalistic Talents.

Should You not have told the reaser that "the reports that state otherwise" for Miss Fox's retention on the show was one that was written by YOU!, and published in this very same jouranal. I realise it was initally sourced from else where but even rudimentry research shows that this was nothing more or lass than an observation made by a fellow journalist with no evidence to back up his claim.

It then falls for me to ask how much weight the reader can give to your observational comment on the fate of these two carachters.

I ask if you have any evidential proof for your of this claim other than jouranlistic comment or observation. Can you prove that these two, Sara and Grissom are to be wed or Grissom is to propose to Sara

Just curiosity, I am sure you will understand I would not like to think that any statement linked to Sara and Grissom (or the actors that play them) is being used to ensure sales and of this journal

Nita Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:57 PM EST

Aw it's true love

Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:56 PM EST

How exciting! Sara and Grissom are my favorite characters, and I've really enjoyed the storyline of their relationship. I really hope that the rumors of Jorja Fox leaving the show are false -- or that the fan campaign to keep her on the show is successful!

woohoo! Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:56 PM EST

Finally!!!! so many fans will be happy, i just hope that Sara stays on the show now :]

Rica Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:54 PM EST

If this happens, it will be the culmination of 7 years of watching Grissom and Sara dance around each other! They are made for each other, like 2 bees in a hive.

Sara Sucks Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:51 PM EST

Apparently all the idiots running this show want to see it cancelled. They better not be setting up for the untalented greedy Fox to stay on the show or they might find that they'll lose even more viewers than they lost last season!!

Les Moonves PLEASE fire all of the idiots who are perpetrating this disgrace!!

Danie Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:38 PM EST

Oh, how lovely! Can't wait to see what a Grissom proposal looks like and sounds like, especially when directed at Sara. Those two are sweet as honey together.

SC Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:35 PM EST

I don't think that Gil and Sara are remotely close to a "normal decent couple". I find their "romance" to be totally unbelievable. I never liked the Sara Sidel character and I don't believe Gil would ever choose her as a mate. The show will improve without her.

Jen Thu, Oct 11, 2007 at 03:09 PM EST

Wow! I really hope this actually happens! I can't quite believe it though. I think it would be great for a TV show for once to show marriage in a positive light, it is so often portrayed as old fashioned, unnecessary or something that ruins peoples relationships. It would be really nice to just have a normal decent couple get married and be happy - or would that be too realistic for TV?
