CW's 'Gossip Girl' gets full season pickup

Fans of the CW’s Gossip Girl — the new drama from O.C. creator Josh Schwartz based on the popular book series — can rest assured that the network won’t cancel the teen angst fest before May: The CW just announced that GG has become its first show to receive a full-season pickup. The teen soap averages 3.3 million viewers, and the two most recent episodes continue to rank among the top five downloaded shows on iTunes.
